My question is: How stupid can you be to be fooled by an adult pretending to be in Highschool? Since he was on on the basketball team and a starter it seems, what do you want to bet that he was getting some? Hopefully the police investigate that angle also and press charges. SICK

I think a lot of regular Americans out there have an unhealthy obsession with spectator sports, even at the high school level. It would explain why all these people were "fooled" - maybe they knew, they just didn't want to believe it. I can't prove anything, and I won't argue it, but I believe it was a factor.

Dominating at hoops must have pretty important to this dude. I'm one of the few people I know that loved high school, but going back for any purpose is just a bad dream.

"That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age." Smile

Hmm. Never Been Kissed, eh?

I don't see the big deal. The git has balls to try and swing something like that.

I have to say, this seems incredibly trivial to me. If this man's life is so devoid of content that re-entering high school under false pretenses so he could play high school basketball seemed like a good idea, then I'm glad he was able to find a little happiness for a while.

This happened when I was in high-school.

This guy bought the school uniform and everything and would be waiting outside to hang out on lunch and other spares. Everyone assumed he was a new student and was attending the school. Turns out, he'd walk home during class time and return on the breaks. Really creepy.

He eventually was found out when someone either figured out this guy is in no one's classes or someone checked with the office to find out if he was a student on a hunch.

In NZ dudes regularly flunk senior year (7th form), on purpose, so that they can spend one more year in the first 15 rugby team. So, you get guys who are almost 20 at high school. Not that much different from this guy.

Cameron Crowe also did it.

At uni there were some folk who would come up to campus just to hang out during lunch. Sort of similar.

NZ doesn't have those rules about minimum grades to play sports?

I want you to sit there, look at a picture of Lebron James 17 years old, and tell me that doesn't look like he's over 20.

I had a guy in my high school who looked like he was damn near 30. A 22 year old, tall and athletic, could easily be mistaken for a high schooler. Don't believe me? take a look at all the football/basketball high school seniors on recruiting websites.

How many of THEM look their age?

Looks is one thing, but mannerism, intelligence and vernacular of an adult who has been graduated for a couple years and a sophomore are different. It might have been hard I guess to tell, but if the guy is living there, you telling me he didn't slip up once
