I am in China now and my roommate got a iPOD knockoff for 90 RMB (maybe 20,000 won).
It says 32gb, but he couldn't put files on it. I reformatted it (simple process of right clicking after going into "My Computer").
I have an 8gb iPOD 4th generation (a real one) I bought 2 years ago for 150,000 won.
I tried to transfer files on an old compaq nx9005 laptop, and it fried the motherboard. It got too hot. It's very annoying using iTunes. Cost me another 150,000 in China to replace the motherboard and chip.
Obviously, if you have a better computer that can handle it, you might be inconvenienced by using non-supported hardware. Also, if the computer is better then there is potential for the knockoff iPod to go.
Aside from the screen size being a little smaller than the 4th generation (and he chose purple, yuck), I don't really see a problem with it.
I think you should get a knockoff if the price is right, don't pay more than 50,000 won. If you are paying more than 50,000 you are better off getting a different company's mp3/video player which is original. |
