I received this camera as a gift last Christmas, very rarely used it and have since bought an iPhone, so I find that I take most of my video on that now. These are extremely popular cameras within the industry and constantly get great reviews.

-----------------------------------------------
Here are some specs:
* Features 40MB of internal memory; SDHC Flash memory compatible
* Shoots 9-megapixel digital photos; includes Face Chaser technology
* Highlighted by a 2.5-inch LCD display; super-fast start-up
* Easily share videos and photos with highly-advanced MPEG4 video compression
* Includes a high-capacity Sanyo brand lithium-ion battery

Product description from the manufacturer:
Capture life when it happens--the new Sanyo Xacti CG9 camcorder records stunning digital video and amazing 9-megapixel digital photos and in one compact and easy to use design. The CG9 not only makes capturing images easy it makes sharing them online, on portable video devices like IPods, TVs and computers a breeze.

Sanyo Xacti CG9 Highlights
With high speed sequential shooting (up to 5 frames per second) and the very latest face chasing technology (recognizing up to 12 faces in still images) the CG9 has set a new standard in affordable camcorders.

The Xacti CG9 packs cutting edge technology into a small, stylish, easy to use camera. Designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand, the CG9s easy to navigate menus make it a great choice for the beginner and the more advanced user. It is the perfect blend of style, performance, and ease of use.

-------------------------------------

Please look it up online and see the reviews, they speak for themselves. The camera is in perfect condition and works wonderfully, it feels great in your hand and is extremely portable and easy to get different angles or self-video-portraits. Included is battery, battery charger, USB connection, and a PNY Optima 8GB SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card that will allow you to record HOURS of video.

I searched online for the current retail price of these items, and the cheapest I found totaled $156.00, used. At the currency exchange rate that is 180,000 won, so I'm knocking off 30K. I live in east Seoul....Gangdong Station (line 5). Will meet you in Seoul if you'd like to look at it, or will ship anywhere in Korea for free.

"Still images can be taken simultaneously with video recording" - http://www.bonafidereviews.com/sanyo-xacti-vpc-cg9-40mb-flash-memory-camcorder-video-quality/

I have a Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6 which was near 400, but has a value of 250 now. Used, it's probably 150-170 also. It cannot take still images (at least I don't know of a way if there is) while taking video.

This is a very interesting feature about the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9

Still images are not the greatest from reviews. I would take some and put them on a laptop to test. Negotiate accordingly.

Also, with the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6 I found the location of the buttons to take video or a still shot made it hard to use. Check this before buying the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9 to make sure it's what you want. Overall, I can deal with mine, but if I had found a similar camera without this issue, I may have bought that instead.

One more thing, audio. On mine audio is great with earphones, however you can not hear much from the inside speaker. It's barely audible. It's not an issue for me, but it may be with you. So, check this if there is a concern.

However, recorded audio is very good. I had to take several takes with video because it picked up background noise.

Thanks Ty for the recommendation! Smile

lifeinkorea, thanks for the extra info. I probably should have given more detail but was in a hurry to go to work when I posted this.

It DOES take still images while recording video. A friend of mine came to visit me and she forgot her camera one day, so she used the Sanyo to take still pictures. You can view the original shots at http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AYtWLFozatmTzA I apologize if some of them aren't rotated to upright position. I just uploaded them straight from the camera to that my computer and then the website.

The internal mic works fine, I've recorded a few vlogs and random video with it and have never noticed a problem with the sound.

The buttons to take still shots vs. video are extremely easy on the Xacti VPC-CG9....when you hold the camera there are two large buttons on either side, press the left and you can take a picture, press the right button and it will start taking video. You can see this better in the following image. http://www.whatdigitalcamera.com/imageBank/s/SanyoVPC-CG9open.jpg

If you have any questions please let me know....I'd be happy to meet you and let you try it out for yourself if you're skeptical. I found it to be very user-friendly, comfortable, convenient and delivered great results.
