How much does it cost to fly to japan from south korea?
do they have discount flights and if so is there any particularly cheap time to go? |

They are often expensive - typically 300-700k won.
Cheapest time is when school is in session in BOTH countries.

Jeju Air has some really good deals on tickets (less than 250K)...but you'll need a friend who knows how to speak Korean or Japanese to get tickets as the site is not in English.
Also I'm not sure if Jeju goes to Tokyo, but it definitely goes to Osaka and Fukuoka. |

or just call them.....there are people who speak English who will call you back.
They fly to Osaka and Kita Kyushu (Fukukoka) but not Tokyo. |

check here for flights
http://www.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_reservation/realtime_air_search.asp?gdsc_cd=300013093&jaehuid=200002817
you will have to have an account with gmarket tho. its free and pretty easy to set up if you know basic korean.
you can also try interpark. i usually get my flights on interpark as they have the cheapest deals to japan. they also have a lot of coupons and discounts. if you wanna fly out of gimpo instead of having to go all the way to incheon airport, your choice is limited. only japan airlines and ana flies out of gimpo. the korean as well as american airlines leave from incheon.
as for the prices. calculate with 400k minimum. you can score a cheaper flight, but its a matter of luck. my flights were all around that 400k area. |

last fall I got a cheap ticket to osaka from nexttour.co.kr
around 220000W.
They allow foreign sign-up I think, but you'll need a korean payment method. |

| flights are so expensive. I always hear it's because Koreans don't travel, but every flight is always booked way in advanced. Just open up a few more flights! Sorry for the rant. |
