Apparently this is going to be where I am living and teaching. Does ANYBODY know anything about this place? All I know it is on the water, but who knows what that means. I guess I am teaching in an English Village, and I have idea what the freak that means either. Welcome to Korea I suppose.

I lived in Yeong-do for a year. It is Busan, but I would think of it more as a suburb. Not much to do there but Nampo-dong is close. A few rock beaches in the area filled with adjummas singing and getting drunk, so if that is your style you will be set.

Is it hard to travel or get around from here? Somebody said they think I have to take a bus or taxi to get to the subway.

You will have to take the bus to get to the subway, them's the breaks. Buses are plenty so you will never have to wait more than a few minutes for one and there is an area in Nampo-dong near the Yeongdo exit of the subway if you miss the last bus. It is a nice little area to be at, but not much for night life.
