|
|
I was at the first level with GEPIK (with rural allowance) and I never got around to getting the TEFL certificate.
I'm thinking of renewing at my same school and was wondering if getting a TEFL certificate now or later would get me a pay increase.
I know that if I got it now that it would get me a 100,000W increase but I'm guessing since I'm renewing in September, will not carry through since I didnt hold the certificate for a year.
If I got it next year, would it add 100,000W to my base salary? |

It used to be that some places would bump up your pay as soon as you got a certificate - and if you have a great principal or something you might get luckily.
Generally now, it is written into most contracts that even if you get a certificate halfway through a contract, you won't get the pay bump until your next contract. |

According to your contract (I work for GEPIK too, it is in there under Article 9, salary)
"If Employee obtains further degree or certificate during contract term, he/she will be promoted to the next applicable employment category (with raise in salary) in the month following once the necessary document has been submitted. However, promotions are limited to one pay increase per year." |
