What good is a fighter escort!? What..they going to stop the bomb from going off on the plane? I think not!
Worse case....they shot the plane out of the sky if it approaches a populated area! |

I thought it was pretty cool how Canada takes bomb threats seriously. I would rather be shot out of the sky than have the plane I am on used as a terrorist bomb.
I was impressed that Canada responded by having jets tail the plane.
If a would be terrorist was on board, the fact that the passengers could see the fighter jets would IMO be a deterrent.
Seems the bomb threat was a hoax though, and I hope they catch whoever called it in. That type of thing isn't funny. When I read that passengers would have their luggage mailed to them, that made me think how ticked I would be if I was on that airplane. |
