Soonchunhyang University in Asan, Korea has openings for Full-time English insturctors
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor�s or Master�s degree (TESOL or, Education in English or CELTA, TEFL certificate preferred). And Native English speaker
2. Minimum 1 year experience in teaching ESL/EFL
3. Period of Employment: September 1, 2010 � August 31, 2011
4. Eligible to get E-2 visa
Main Responsibilities:
1. Minimum 16 contact hours per week, will be paid overtime for any hours exceeding 16 contact hours per week.

3. University-operated English Camps
Salary & Benefits:
1. 2,200,000 KRW per month basic starting salary
(more depending on degree)
2. 10 weeks minimum paid vacation
3. Medical Insurance 50/50
4. Korea Teachers Pension
4. Provided furnished one room housing
5. Travel allowance of 1,000,000 KRW will pay 500,000 Won for arriving costs and 500,000 Won for returning costs at end of final contract period

I think quite a few people wishing to get on the uni ladder would give it a try, even if the money is very poor for an MA and camps are thrown in on top of that.
I'm guessing the uni is just dreaming to be honest. Probably they will have to settle for a BA. Well, they can always dream eh? |
