Have an xbox 360 with a high wattage power cable but I haven't found more than one in Seoul and I use that one for my lap top. If you have one, I'd be appreciative to buy.

You laptop should have a built in transformer that will run fine off of 220V...both of our laptops are from the US and we just plug them in here with no problem. All you need is a plug converter and not a power converter. I have never heard of a laptop not having a transformer than ran on both 110V and 220V...but to check for sure, look on the bottom of your transformer (the black box in the middle of your cord) and it should say 110-240V on it, if it does then you can just plug it in without a power converter. Same goes for most (but not all) small electronics...cell phones, MP3 players...but yes, you will need a power converter to run a US Xbox in Korea.

If you can't do as the above person said to do, buy a transformer from the hardware store in your neighborhood. They're about 25,000 KRW for the top of the line and well worth it. I brought my Korean XBOX home to the USA along with a cheap power converter, and it blew up because the wattage was too low for the powerhog XBOX.

Go for one like this if you need it:
http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=129694605&pos_shop_cd=EN&pos_class_cd=90000001&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=220+110

But the above poster was correct in that you can just get a plug adapter for your laptop (I got one for free at TM with the promise that I'd buy my next laptop from them. I'm sure at this point we won't recognize each other).
