It falls on the 6th this year, Sunday, so do we get Monday off as well? I know sometimes they do this to have a long weekend.
Thanks!

It's up to individual employers, but as a general rule most businesses don't cut their employees slack like that. Red day on a Saturday or Sunday? You're SOL.
Some people get lucky though. For example I got two days tagged on to Children's Day for a 5 day weekend, and this year Chuseok is Tue/Wed/Thu and my school is giving us the entire week. |

I'm in a public school, and we definitely don't get it off. Generally employers don't like to give days off when that day technically isn't a holiday. They want to make money too badly...Weekend holidays, unless it's a big one like Chuseok, aren't days off.
We get election day off on Wednesday the 2nd though! |

you also might want to double check with your school. But thats what happened last year, and it's marked off on my school's calendar! |
