How hard is to find soluble fiber at Seoul? (psylium).
Extra notes: Fiber is necessary as a daily supplement because it helps to maintain a healthy digestive system. You normally find it in fruits (dried too), granola bars, cereal, etc. For people like me, who has IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is a good help, because it creates a mucous layer which helps to keep a regular bowel movement. |

Hello,
There are some products available in Seoul. A few places have metamucil which is also ground psyllium. Personally I would not go for the flavoured one and the other one is harder to come by. The small size is sometimes 16,000 Won. In Seoul you should be fine.
I have seen more health food places recently but it might be easier to get a psyllium tablet. If you can bring some with you since it is overpriced.
Bran cereal is also around, but you pay a bit more just to get your breakfast fibre!. |

Hi,
Check at various shops around. Some of the bigger stores might have it. Emart doesn't have it, Costco sometimes has it in and homeplus has it often.
Itaewon is the place to go in seoul, to the world food market next to what the book if you can't find it elsewhere. |

Well the granola bars are toast at least for the time being. Costco isn't selling them any more. |

Hi There,
I used to use Costco oats but they are the ground up instant kind. They are Quaker oats though so the good stuff but harder to find whole oats. Muesli and some fibrous cereals are available at the foreign store next to what the book. It may be possible to find oats here.
I have had to seek out whole oats elsewhere. Afraid to say I had to give up my oat dream this last winter. I found the instant oats undigestible but I ate them for a while. I went for and go for granola cereal (still pretty good)
Answer: They are not easy to find.
If anyone has any addition to this please feel free. I keep expecting homeplus to start carrying oats but have not seen them yet. |

Ignoring the fact that you gave us TMI...
All Bran (flakes) is high in fiber (26% RDA). Buy some raisins and you've got quite a helping there. |

Gangnam yeok sa-gori street food is insanely effective if one is seeking a ferocious bowel cleanse... |
