"Asian child finding freedom from communism" I almost spat my tea at the computer in hysterics. I wish someone would set up a foundation to help kids find freedom from all these Western religious nutbags running around the place.

By the way, if you don't sell this before you leave you'll need to get a sticker from your local government office in order for the trash collectors to pick it up.

Bouncing Bejeebus, Batman!

What a terrible painting!

Looks like a cover for a bad Sci-Fi novel from the 70's where all of the characters turn out to be psychics from teh future.

Try giving it away... but dont be surprised if all say: "Sorry... just don't have the room!"

I understand about strong opinions concerning art, and that is a good thing.

What I don't understand is how the OP figures a school or a church is going to decide to cough up $5,500 for that painting.

Well judging from the fact the OP didn't write ANYTHING about the monstrosity, I think they're actually serious. LOL!

It's not even a well painted painting....... 500 bucks huh.....My school prints fake "dollars" for the children to buy pencils and crap can I round up 500 of them? We'll call it a favor, so you don't have to keep this thread up for humiliation. Then I'll take the painting and paint a sweet dragon with awesome biceps over top of it. Strongbad style!

Steve S is a famous artist in Vancouver and has done some amazing work.

So stick to your ESL kindies...doesn't look like many of you understand art.

Steve S? That's his name? Why just the last initial? Doesn't he know using only a cool LAST name is all the rage.

Fiveeagles your name sounds cool, can Stevie S paint a sweet mural of 5 eagles soaring over a sweet landscape naked babes drinking 40's of malt liquor while superior snakes gorge themselves on rats? Maybe the snake and rats part is going a bit far. Work with it. Then we'll talk.

I understand art. I've studied about art. That painting is terrible. The "message" looks like it is conveyed in an amateurish way.

What does it say about the piece when your only defense is to get derogatory and start slinging insults at those who have posted? I don't teach in a kindie, but by implying that those who work there cannot appreciate art I think you have shown what type of thinker you are.

The art stinks. And furthermore this is a Korean forum, that item is NOT in Korea, so why is it being posted here?

I too was an art major and yes I am acting like a child, but also know that painting isn't anything someone would pay 5000 bucks for. The people in the painting are terribly rendered. The sky is the only part that looks remotely professional, and why pansies?! Why?
