Does Korean Air ever have seat sales?

I'm looking at going to Okayama, Japan for a few days in September to visit some friends. Unfortunately, Korean Air is the only airline to fly that route from Incheon.
They want about $440, which seems excessive to me for a 1.5 hour flight, and as I'm assuming it's not that popular a route, I wonder if they ever have seat sales where I might get a break on price.
I know I could take the Beetle instead, but then I still have to pay a lot to get to Okayama by bullet train, so I'd prefer a flight.
Do any of you know any ways I could beat that price for an air ticket?

Thanks

Korean Air does things backwards. Example: A normal airline if you book early you save, not with KA. You book late you may save money. I can tell you their American route to Atlanta is very high now and I doubt it will go lower. Good Luck Cool

Right before you want to go, go onto 072.com and see if it is on sale. They almost never have sales to Japan because those flights are always FULL. Also, if the flight isn't, they sell discounted tickets to the Chinese, so then it fills up.

OP, have you looked at prices for flights to other airports in that part of Japan? Hiroshima would be the first other one I'd check out. Hiroshima Airport is quite a way to the east of the city. In fact it's actually in Higashi-Hiroshima City, so it's well on the way towards Okayama. Asiana has daily flights to there.

Asiana also fly to Takamatsu, although not daily. Likewise Yonago, in Tottori.

All these 3 airports would probably have highway buses running to Okayama, so it wouldn't be that much extra on top of your flight cost.

The other option that springs to mind is Jeju Air, who fly to Kitakyushu. That would mean a more expensive journey onwards to Okayama, but Jeju Air have some very cheap fares to KitaQ which might offset that expense.

No. Korea Air has trouble even finding seats especially during the summer. In fact i read an article that most of their flights are 90%+ booked already.

Amazon, Kayak.com, Travelocity, Orbitz? And do check other airports on the same island.
