Do any of you own and use one of these devices? I'm thinking of getting one, and want to know what the general opinion of them is. |

I'm tempted to get one, as I won't have to lug around tons of books from Canada to Korea when I move back and forth... |

I have an eBook reader and use it to read books by American authors.
The eBook reader, another great American invention.

I try to avoid American media, and prefer to watch international movies, and read novels by non-American authors. It just seems that anything produced by Americans these days is so very superficial, manufactured, and commercial, like it is produced for profit first, and creativity later. |

Hahah weak attempt friend!
Certainly won't be buying a product from an american company. But what does it really matter anyway, the usa doesn't produce anything these days. Production is almost zero in your ruined economy.
Samsung, ASUS, Sony all make nice eReaders
P.S. Those aren't american companies |

I didn't attempt anything. I successfully posted a witty retort to poke fun at your pathetic post. It even got a laugh out of you.
My economy is financially stable. If you mean the USA economy, however the state of the USA economy is, it is better than your nation's economy, the Canadian economy, which is based on beaver skins.
You are welcome to buy a product from any company you like. So don't buy a product from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Apple. But what does it really matter anyway, the eBook reader is a great American invention.
You already have your mind set on which product is good and which product is not, so you are making a weak attempt at wasting people's time. |

unrelated to politics: yes, i read off an ereader and like it. I have a sony one, simply because it is smaller then a kindle and does a better job digesting pdfs. if you don't mind a slightly bigger form factor the kindle is actually a nicer looking machine, and displays type in a more pleasing manner.. |

I have a Kindle. It's awesome! The money I saved in books last year made up for the $300 I paid for the Kindle. If you read a lot, it's nice to have. |
