Is there any particular place or way to get good deals on sneakers in Korea?
It seems to me that they're more expensive here than in the US. I used to have my sister send me a particular model (of sneaker) from the US but it's gone up in price drastically there lately, so......I'm debating whether to continue to try to get'em from there or just bit the bullet and purchase in Korea.
The times before when I bought sneakers in Korea, in the 30-30KW range, I didn't like then way they fit at all.
BTW...I live in Gumi but get to Daegu and Seoul often.
Regards,

I prefer Asics trainers. The stores here mostly cater to the over 40 crowd for hiking and walking wear. The style I want is either not available, too expensive or not available in my size. I would often get family members to help me because it is still cheaper than buying it in Korea (after shipping costs from USPS).
If the sneakers you want are in Korea, are in your size and the price difference isn't so huge. Buy em here. Myeongdong and COEX, Nike and Adidas give 10% off to foreigners. I'd say check out gmarket but most of those brand name sneakers might be fakes. Better to go to the real store. |

I buy off of Ebay, but that's mainly because I can't find my size here. Always had good success that way. |

Everytime I go back to the states I buy 2-3 pairs of New Balance 992's or 3's from the warehouse outlet. Those shoes are no joke. I have a surplus in my house..I got 8 brand new pairs..enough to last about 5 years. Funny thing is I'll probably buy more when I go back again. |

I got the Jordan III True Blues here for 269,000 won. In the States, they're about $230 (last time I checked on eBay). In my opinion, with shipping and all that, it's just better to buy your sneakers here even if they are a bit more expensive. |

Where are you buying your shoes in Korea? I am a size 12 and not having much luck locally finding anything in my size. |

Gmarket is decent for anything sized 280 and under. Anything above, get it shipped in |

Best damn shoes in the world...in my opinion. Made in the USA too...hard to find damn near anything made there anymore. They cost about 140-150 bucks at stores if you can find them..but I can usually get them for about 80-90 or so at the NB warehouse outlet. |
