Think Christmas Eve and Boxing Day versus Christmas Day itself - and don't be disappointed (and make your own lunch).

yes, I've noticed that in my Gyonggi Podunk city, there are plenty of places operating completely as normal.

What really surprised me was that the myriad of "massage" joints all had their poles spinning as usual.. Laughing

Their white bread tastes just like wonder bread. Completely fine in my book for everyday bread/sandwiches. But id kill for some of my local bakery crusty bread back home right about now. But the wonder bread/paris baguette bread is best for sandwiches because i like a soft bread for that.

white bread isn't bread. I have no idea what to call it, but it's an American fast food concoction that marketers actually had the chutzpah to market as healthy back in the day. (especially Wonder Bread).

PB makes decent enough baguettes though. I'm a big fan of the garlic one and their darker one (not sure what it's called) but will even take their regular unimpressive french baguette replica over white rice any day of the week and Sunday (and I do)

I've been to the U.K. and noted what passes for bread there. After a summer in France, tearing into very crusty baguettes, that doughy white bread, very thinly sliced was a rude surprise. I think that they usually toast it, but no such luxuries for a Teen Missions kid.

Baguettes (yes, the real French ones) are white bread. I don't know why some of you think otherwise. It is bread made from wheat that has no bran or germ (white flour), and thus is white bread. If it isn't white bread, it's made from whole wheat (or other grains).

I'm basically a rye kind of guy Very Happy

but will accept white bread provided the crust is outstanding, and in the French baguette case, it is.

and baguette white bread tastes nothing like , nor is its texture anything like Wonderbread's for e.g.
