Basic question: When can I apply for the 2 year tax exemption? Has my window for applying already passed?

I'm from the US. I've been in Korea for almost 3 years, but I was working for hagwons/camps/etc. I heard that this kind of work doesn't apply. I took a university gig this past March -- a 2 year contract, and I'd love to get that tax exemption started.

I haven't applied for my 6166 (residency form) yet, via:

Thanks.
