I'm thinking about hitting a beach on Wednesday. Is this beach in Yeosu the kind you can laze around on and swim in, or is it one of those horrible rocky Korean picnic beaches? |

I went there a couple years ago and it was pretty crappy. Not only is the black sand not black sand, but it's basically a lot of rocks and jagged stuff to rip up your feet.
But, up the road a few kilometers is a much nicer, quieter beach, Mosageum (모사금해수욕장). Actually, not sure how quiet it is now that everyone knows to choose it over the black sand one, but it was much more pleasant.

Yes, it's from the largest of the green tea plantations in Boseong county, Jeollanam-do. I took it last May for their annual Green Tea Festival. I highly recommend the tea fields if you're ever in southwestern Korea.
