Can I get my boarding pass and check-in luggage in person? There web check-in is not working for me, so I will do it in person. I am leaving from Gimpo Airport to go to Ulsan.
Can I do this? I just have my confirmation number... is that enough? |

Haven't flown much?
Yes, a confirmation number and ID (preferably passport) is okay. You can do this all in person at the counters at the airport. |

Within America, yes. Internationally, no. |

And you have a university/college degree? do they give them to you if you can read and write the alphabet where you come from?
Seriously, sounds like the genius american (who said he was at M.I.T or something like that.) I met in Venezia, Italy. Two weeks ago who said to me..
Genius: "Isn't it dangerous to drive from the UK to the states as we drive on different side of the road than you do? "
Me: (Stares Blankly whilst drinking a poor italian beer) There is quite a big ocean separating us..
Genius: Oh ..... right... ( Turns to two american girls asking about their plans, to which they just said they weren't going out** and then laughed.)
**I was staying at a hostel with a total of 26 beds, 21 were occupied by americans, so much fun.
But yes, you should not be allowed to leave your parents house, what are you doing in Korea? get home... Chop-Chop |

Not true. I don't know how it is in Korea, but I have done that from Japan for a last-minute flight. |

He may be asking a valid question or he may be a troll. I can't decide.
These days in North America, the airlines almost refuse to check you in with an employee at the counter, and you have to use the electronic checkin.
It took me once almost 20 minutes to check in even though there was no one there because the airline employees insisted I use the auto checkin, and it wouldn't work. Then I had to wait another 10 minutes while the employee tried to check me in via the auto checkin. (FYI, I had a special case ticket that CANNOT be checked in via the auto checkin).
FINALLY, they let get checked in by the checkin employee behind the counter who watched us for 20 minutes trying to check in.
So, long story short, the OP may have a valid question. |

Show up with your passport and confirmation number. It's all you need. Most airlines have self check in kiosks near the check in counters. You walk up to it, punch in information like your confirmation number and passport number. Many can even look up your ticket via the CC number you used to book it. It will print out your boarding pass. If you have bags to check there will then be a "baggage drop off" line. Enter the line, show your boarding pass to the attendant and they will check your bags in for you.
Even for international flights, you just need your passport and confirmation number. I just flew to and from Taiwan from Seoul, and I can confirm you only need these two things to check in. |

If we want to be specific here, for a domestic flight within Korea on Koreanair leaving Gimpo Airport, you can check in at a wall check-in kiosk or you can check in with a real person at the counter. Koreanair at Gimpo doesn't care if you use the auto check in or the counter. You can give your luggage to the person who checks you in. All you need is a form of ID and a confirmation number to find your reservation in the computer. They will give you a 'receipt' which is your boarding pass. |
