Boy oh boy. How much does it suck?

The only saving grace, for me, is that it panders to my prejudices. The anti govt/corporatist message is pretty overt. I think it will get a lot of attention for that.

Robert Downy Junior's dialogue throughout the whole film was very very annoying. Everything he says is basically condescending one way or another.

The bad guy spent the whole film in confinement to build a suit that was destroyed in a 30 second-1 minute final end scene fight.

Scarlet whats-her-name was awesome though. The scene at the Monaco Grand Prix was pretty good though. And the scene with his Dad offered a brief reprieve from RDJ tedious dialogue.

I kept my expectations low and took it for what it was. By not expecting a huge cinematic masterpiece I enjoyed it.

The first Ironman was easily the best comic to movie conversion of the decade. Much better than Watchmen. It has a 79%, generally favorable reviews on Metacritic.

This latest sequel really is a dog. It's more akin to Transformers or G.I Joe than its predecessor. This movie had a opportunity to be a smart, funny, exciting movie. It ended up being a complete mess. Everything about it sucked. Name any aspect of the film and chances are it sucked. I had a more enjoyable time watching Clash Of The Titans FFS.

My GF and I saw the first one together, and really loved it. It was when we were first seeing each other and we really bonded over it. This time we both left the theater in shocked silence. I don't think our relationship can survive a blow like this.

I didnt' think the 1st Ironman was all that much of a hit and I love science fiction robotic cyborgs on a space mission to other worlds kind of stuff. Ironman could had been done better, but they were trying to make a mainstream sci-fi instead of classic geek material. Well, story centers around becoming a cyborg to win a fight which deserves a more scientific focused high budget shoot.

That whole scene was really weird and incongruous. Why did he say that? What was so special that they had to hook up? There was no build up to it during the whole movie. "Get a roof!"? Good grief. Give me a break. Rolling Eyes

I know what you mean. That part was so strange. I guess the "hook up" was your obligatory Hollywood kiss.

If this is the kind of stuff Marvel Studios is going to start churning out from now on, I fear for the Thor and Avengers films...

Uh, no..it doesn't suck. What are you whiners yapping about? It was actually better than the 1st one. If you want to see some true Marvel dreck, then push play for "Daredevil" or "Fantastic Four". Those films are crap. Iron Man 2 may not be the most appealing of the franchises, but it doesn't suck to that degree. Hell, it had War Machine and Whiplash...even the Black Widow. Stop whining and start appreciating.
