I currently teach at a public elementary school in Bucheon and I'm looking to switch to a public high school or middle school. I have excellent recommendations both from previous employers and my current school (they ask me not to leave at least once a week). I'm going to get into contact with a recruiter soon but I've heard it's easier if you know someone whos leaving, which I don't at least not for high school. Any info?

sorry - I just realised you said Bucheon. (Gangnam is a good place to work though).

Doesn't Bucheon have a GEPIK coordinator? Why not ask them? They'll know who is leaving, and when.

thanks for the heads up about gangnam, I don't have the two years experience but I think I'll apply just in case.

Also didn't even think about the gepik coordinator so I'll look into that too, thanks!

When you ask the GEPIK rep, hope they are in a good mood.

It isn't their job to help you move from one school into another. They aren't recruiters. Their job is to help you if your principal/co-teacher/whoever is making your current job a nightmare.

Call the recruiter, or network with other NETs in Bucheon
