I just started learning some chords from a friend and need a cheap starter guitar to practice on. I don't want to spring for a new one yet because I am leaving Korea in September and already have way too much stuff to lug as it is. I was thinking somewhere in the $50 range - I have seen them listed for that much but the person selling lived so far away that it would cost me another $40 or $50 to go and fetch it. So this is actually just a shot in the dark. I may bite the bullet and buy new anyway. Or if it is in the Seoul or Busan area I may justify the transportation fare as the cost of a weekend getaway. Anyway, if you have one for sale, let me know. I live in Iksan, one hour south of Daejeon on the KTX line.

I have a guitar I am willing to sell.
But, I'm not around Seoul or Pusan. I'm 2 hours from Pusan. 5 hours from Seoul.

i bought one of these not to long ago. It is a cheapo chinese one but it doesn't sound to bad. Throw a new set of strings on it and your good to go for a beginner guitar.

Thanks for the link. I decided to purchase the classical from gmarket for 63,000 won - they claim it's discounted down from 180,000. Maybe not that far fetched as my friend said I could expect to pay 150,000 for a new one.

I already bought that TBS guitar from Wes Smile

For the classical guitar, i suggest check the Yamaha C-40, the wood is not so great but the sound is more than what it cost. I have one (and still using it), and from my experience its an amazing guitar with a very reasonable price. Im impressed with the tone and resonance. I think you can buy it brand new for as low as 170,000 KRW. And its Yamaha.

The Segovia line is also good too.
