|
|
I've transferred my visa twice and haven't actually had one end in two years, so I can't quite remember this...
Do I have to be out of the country on or before the day my visa expires? Or do I have a few days thereafter to leave?
From what I remember, extending it is no big deal... but it just seems impossible to get everything in order to leave before your visa expires, as most of us seem to get paid on the last day of school (and then come the bank transfers, etc).
Help is appreciated. |

You need to leave the day that your visa expires unless you extend. I left on a Saturday and my last day of work/visa expired on the Friday.
Next time I got a visa to work from my home country, they told me about it and said if I did it again I might not be granted a Visa. I should have extended as it is hard to leave the day you finish work. I recommend you extend your Visa, it is an easy process and can be done on the Internet. |

Sorry, don't have the link but thanks for the poster who did have one. The company I worked for actually gave the Internet link to me. I remember thinking that I had been here for 2 years, and obviously they don't think I am going to leave immediately. My last day of work ended at 9:30 on a Friday and I left in the afternoon on the Saturday... I was wrong. |

Thanks for the tips. I noticed it's a 30,000W charge to extend... anyone know if there's a charge involved if you do it in person?? |

I think that's new... dammit. Guess you have to have travel plans ready as well, so I'm a long way off from all this. |
