Ok.. No classroom, including the teacher's office or vice principal's office has the air conditioning on. My english classroom is in the corner of the school, and it is pretty hot, especially with 40 kids in there. The thermostat is just there, calling my name.. It works.. i tried it once for a few minutes. Should I just turn it on, or do I have to ask? I don't want them to think I'm an ass.

Just do it. It's always easier to apologize than to ask for permission.

And it is always best to never apologize or ask permission.

Just Do It! (as Nike would say).

Yes. If they don't want it on they'll tell you. Then grin nod your head and turn it off. If they say nothing then bob's your uncle.

Yeah, just turn it on. If you and the kids are uncomfortable, go for it.

Definitely turn it on. As others have said, easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

And if you do get in trouble for using it, just show up to work in a t-shirt and shorts. You'll very quickly get permission to use it Smile
