I'm trying to get my Laptop to act as a second monitor for my PC, but it hasn't been as simple as it should be.
I've plugged in the cable from my PC to my laptop, and although, when changing the settings on my pc, the pc imagines a second monitor - the mouse will disappear off the left side of the screen - the laptop remains unchanged... Is this an issue with the PC being XP and the Laptop being 7?
Or am I just doing something wrong...
Lemme know |

You can't do that. |

Yeah it's not as simple as a google/youtube search. I believe it can be done with some software I've found through a CAT 5 cable though *rubs chin*
I'll try again tomorrow |

If your laptop has a video plug on it, it was most likely video output, not input.
What are you wanting to do on your secondary monitor? There is free software called synergy that will allow you to share a keyboard/mouse, but you cant drag windows, etc from one to the other. |
