I need one so I can plug my American plugs in.
I have been to Lotte Mart, Home Plus and every other market and no one had them. |

check home plus again. we found ours in the section where you get the power strips. its a big white box of a converter - it even has a handle. costs about 30,000 won. its awesome, because it has two plugs, and i can plug in my hair straightener and it won't blow up. we found ours on the bottom shelf. now, we are in daejeon, but i'm sure they stock the same things in ulsan as well. |

Thank you! I will go back and check agian.
You're right about the blowing up thing. I have one converter one of the teachers let me use and then i used it to plug in a plug that had multiple sockets, so I plug-in my computer and clock and a few mins later the clock fused out.... damn. Just glad it wasn't my computer.
30,000 is a bit steep, but i need it.
I was gonna check e-bay, but i don't know my address. |

before we left canada, i bought a specific adapter for my straightener, for $50, and got here and it didn't fit. so for me, 30,000 won to be able to plug in our wii, my straightener, our computer, etc is amazing. |

Second HomePlus. I bought two travel converters from there for 15000 each not two months ago. They were hanging near an end-cap in the electronics department near the power strips. I'm sure they're there. Just keep looking.
I even asked someone who worked there. After they couldn't find them, I kept looking and found them. |

Go to a hardware store, they are 500-1000 won most places.
Just check the voltage rating so make sure it can handle 220v and you're set. |

This is the same situation I'm in lol, and the same city... if you find an adapter please post where you found it. I am currently using a coworkers adapter. I went to homeplus but had no luck.... |

I think I have two of the adapters you're looking for sitting in my apartment. The previous teacher was American and he left them behind. I have no use for them! |

Like I said before, that white box from Home Plus will take care of everything you need. Two three-prong outlets. It's perfect for what you guys need. It'll be in a brown box, about the size of a loaf of bread. Kinda heavy. It's got "Hi-1000D" on it.[/img] |

The ones I was talking about are small. The size of a fist or so and are adapters for travel all over. There are three prong adapters of different sizes that adapt to Asia and European plugs(or maybe British, they're back in my apartment right now). They are thankfully, voltage adapters as well. All in one. I use them for American plugs for my Wii, laptop, etc. |

Think I had the adapters too but threw them out recently as they'd been sitting around for 6 months...will check again though and email you if I still have them.
I have a couple of the transformers at home still though. |
