Hi, I'm new to Busan and Korea. Could anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I could pick up a good USB soundcard for DJ-ing (with 2 channels, preferably Native Instruments or M-Audio) and some decent DJ headphones (Sony, Sennheiser or Technics). I need to pick up some gear...

I am based in Busan, but I can make a trip up to Seoul if needed.

Cheers

I'm in the same boat mate. There's a store in Seoul in the iPark mall right next to Yongsan station that sells DJ kit. It's not cheap but you can pick up what you want, and they can order stuff from most manufacturers. Hong Kong is a much cheaper place to buy so if you can manage a long weekend there sometime I'd recommend bringing stuff back.

Prices are steep, but they have solid gear. There's a headphone shop on either the floor above or below this one in Yongsan as well.

What, are you planning to dj at home alone, or illegally in clubs?

Hey,

I live in Busan and I have Behringer BCD2000 DJ controller for sale. I bought it about 3 months aago, and I really haven't had time to use it as my weekends have been busy. I also have Sennheiser HD205 headphones I could part with. Let me know if you are interested.

check out http://cafe.naver.com/clubdj for second hand deals on gear from people, although the site is in Korean so you might need a bit of a translator or something if you don't know Korean. I personally just brought my turntables and mixer from the States and paid the extra customs fees because I realized it was way cheaper than buying gear here.
