Just looking for suggestions on where to take a visiting lady friend for a weekend and a few weekdays after work. Relatively new here myself.

Seoul Tower
Insadong
Itaewon (briefly, for the novelty)
Myeongdong
?
....

Cheers

Great suggestions for a visiting mate. Think you missed the "lady friend" part?..at least for the barber pole polishing. Got that covered.

I don't discriminate.

if you got money, hit the fancy areas around Sinsa and Abgujeong.. ladies love all that boutique crap.. haha

how about going out in hongdae one night, just to check out all the people and the college scene?

Yeoiudo Park is nice, and you can also do the Building 63 nearby (yeouinaru station line 5).. art gallery on top with the observation deck.

Lotte world? Seoul land and Zoo? COEX mall (isn't it asias largest underground mall or some crap?)

Plenty to do, yo.

Take a look at this site:

Haechi is a bit cheesy (well, very cheesy) but you and your lady friend will see quite a lot of good things Smile

Hah, appreciate the sensitivity to gender equality.

Some good suggestions here. Cheers

Check and see if the DMZ tour is operating during the visit. That's a must-do.

Insadong = Dirty tourist trap completely devoid of charm
Itaewon = US ghetto transplanted into Seoul
Myeondong = Mind numbing shopping of the lowest form

My favorites =

1. Bukchon -- Traditional hanoks that reflect how Seoul used to be before it was destroyed by "modernization"
2. Galleries/cafes on the perimeter of Hongdae near Hapjeong
3. Han River Bycicle Ride near World Cup Stadium (including the 3 parks)
4. Major food/fish/flea markets throughout the city
5. Good restaurants/cafes recommended by Seouleats.com
