I have been just browsing on Memri
http://www.memritv.org/
and if they are true translations of what has been said by these individuals, then you have to wonder if they really think about what they are saying or how it will be intrepreted by non muslims or non supporters.
Some of their comments really question whether they could even fit into the rest of the world. Or whether, its just foolish to even think they are being serious and they are just saying what ever.
Though if they are serious, then you have to question what is the long term impact of having people in the world who continue to believe what they seem to believe.

#2494 - MEMRI Flotilla Coverage: Egyptian Cleric Salem Abu Al-Futouh Salutes the "Mujahideen" Who Died in Flotilla Clash and Says: "If One Billion Muslims in the World Buzzed Like Flies, the Strength of the Jews Would Be Sapped"; "Cruelty Nestles in These Peoples Hearts" |
His comments especially make me wonder if there is more to the issue than how the non muslims percieve the debate about Israel. |

That translation makes sense to me. There are far more damning quotes from Muslims floating about the web, many of which are as clunkily translated. I can't help but get the impression that you have ulterior motives to posting this. |

No ulterior motive except to question, why some of these individuals seem to think it is ok to say what they do.
I have listened to some of the liberal speakers and wonder why in the Muslim world, thier views aren't promoted more and supported more. Why do some seem to promote the extremist views of some of these people and yet not the liberal views.
Thats all, suspecting an ulterior motive other than a questioning of how long some of these extremist views can continued to be held, would be a mistake.
I tend to say what I think, though sometimes with cheek in tounge. I don't tend to hide meanings behind my words. |
