There is a sleeping area at the ends of one of the terminals, it is rated the best airport to sleep in. Some of the bathrooms are amazing. Not much to eat or drink at that time.

Not sure there will be much to do outside, don't forget you have to go through immi.

Immigration is super fast, so you got that in your favor. I think the subway stops at midnight though, so you'd have to take a taxi to go anywhere (or maybe there is a bus?).

As for suggestions on where to go from 1 am to 9 am, my mind is going blank. The airport has enough to keep you entertained though: a pool, (free) video games, internet, etc.

You'll hav to use a taxi (not terribly expensive), but it's not totally a 24-hour city. Some stuff is open, but not a lot.

Wow, that is incredibly cool. I must remember this ^

Oh - just noticed the OP's layover times - the earliest the tours leave though is 9:00am, so it wouldn't work for the OP actually.

Yes, my mistake, I'm always getting my AM's and PM's wrong, luckily I haven't missed a flight yet.

From memory, it's a cheapish taxi ride to the city. Something should be open at that time in the morning.

Thanks everybody, I have heard good things about the airport, but I will probably take a taxi into the city for a bit. Maybe just to get a bite to eat or to get a few drinks. Thanks for the suggestions.

they also have a cinema. Missed my flight once and spent the night in singapore airport. Plenty of stuff to do for free 24 hours a day

Definitely take the tour! It's a free ride into the city and you can get off at a couple different stops and roam around for 90 minutes and then hop back on. There's also free wifi in the airport if that's applicable to you.

Must be a bar open at night to get a singapore sling. Though sleeping sounds the best option.
