|

| I am going to be leaving Korea about 6 months after starting my one year phone contract with LG. Are there going to be cancellation fees? Anyone know how much? |

| Less than 5000won per month, IIRC. I bought my phone outright tho. |

| I'm not on a pay as you go, I'm on an actual year contract agreement (stupid me, I know) But I was hoping there werent outrageous $200 early termination fees like in the US. |

| Mine's a one-year contract as well. But 5,000won x 6months = 30,000won (about $25 USD) is a lot cheaper than $200. |

Yep, I asked how much I'd have to pay to cancel my 1 year contract 1 month early and was told 5,000 won. I had been thinking they meant something like 500,000 won which I sure hoped not, because back home, they do charge hefty contract cancellation fees regardless how much time left. Korean phone deal seem fair enough. It's all based on how much you use it; not how much the company intends to fleece you for. |
