Hi all... I've been out of Korea for a couple of years so I'm just making a flying visit to the forums. Since then, I've been in touch with demophobe who many of you will know and who I spent a lot of time with when I was in Korea.

Anyway, I last heard from him around Christmas when he said he was just about to move house and was really busy. Since then, I've had no replies to emails. It seems his last post on here was November and I wondered if he's okay as it seems communicaton stopped with me around the same time it did on here. PMs don't seem to raise him either.

I'm coming to Korea this summer and don't want to miss the chance to meet up with him. I'm writing here to see if anyone actually knows if he's doing okay and what his new address might be.

If anyone can help PM me

cheers

I would say he was banned from here. They have banned a ton of long termers in the last 6 months.

Why is that?

Actually, I noticed that there are far less posts on ESLcafe these days. Way less busy than it used to be. Perhaps alot of users have moved elsewhere? Maybe to that expat Korea forum?

Nah, they had a purge around the start of the year. I believe even discussing this stuff is ban worthy. A few have popped up on the other forum, but it isn't anywhere near as vibrant as this place in its hey day. A shame really.

That doesn't make sense.
