I am looking for a website that is similar to the one called hopstop.com in the US. Is there one for Seoul?
Hopstop for those of you that do not know gives detailed directions for people who want to use the subway, bus, and walk to their destination. It tells you exactly the shortest and easiest route.
I looked on the subway website but it only tells you the route between stations and if you do not know which station to get off at you still have to get additional directions. |

I think it would be hard to give directions in Seoul because:
a. Not many distinctive landmarks.
b. Stores change quite frequently.
c. Do they even have street names for all the streets?
d. A lot of the names are in Korean.
But to stab at your question - I don't know. |

http://map.daum.net just right click and set the start and finish. Or type in the address of the place. Since the subway stations are so numerous you usually don't have to walk far from a subway station, a few minutes at most.
If you have an exact address you can usually hit the roadview button to see a photo of the place and you can just look at the map to see how to get there from the subway station and use the roadview to check out what the area looks like where you might have to turn (so you can remember to turn at the pharmacy or bank or whatever) |
