I live in Iksan and I am having trouble finding a girl. Since this is a smaller town in the middle of the country the English level of the average Korean girl is pretty low and all of the foreign women I've met have boyfriends.
So, to make a long story a little shorter, I am looking for suggestions on good online dating sites. I've tried Korean Friend Finder and Korean Cupid already, but there are very few women in my area. Any help would be appreciated.
I know dating questions have been done to death, but let me do some voodoo and make the topic a zombie at least.

For the online part: Put an ad on Craigslist, see what happens.

The alternative: If you have it in your budget, travel somewhere there are more people. You might meet someone while on a weekend trip to Seoul, Busan, Daejeon...

Don't give up, they're are so many people out there. But don't get to focused on it. It's not the end of the world. Now if what your looking for is a relationship, that kind of thing won't happen over night--but I'm sure you knew that.

Honest, just go out there, keep hanging with your buds. You never know someone might be in town who's single and is interested.

Good luck!

Having tried the paid memberships at UB and Korean Cupid, I go with Korean Cupid. But frankly, I think it would be hard to find any website that would have many people in your area. I think you might have the best luck asking some Korean friends to introduce you to someone. I've had a fair bit of luck going online, but I live in the Seoul metro area.

So frankly, I don't think you will have much luck online. sorry.

the problem with the UB/Korean Cupid and other mentioned sites is that many of the women are like the proverbial village bike where everyone has had a go (well maybe not everyone but you get what I mean) Wink

Try learning some Korean, at least the basics....and that goes a long way.

Try language exchange. A lot of people use that for meeting girls.

Craigs List is a real mixed bag..... one would think seeing a post from an Ivy league Chinese-Canadian teacher in Korea would be gold..... but they'd be wrong... Crying or Very sad

Long story short, she was more Canadian than Chinese... and apparantly a fan of Tim Horton's donuts.... Wink

Thanks for the replies. To answer an earlier post, yes, I am looking for a relationship. I'm getting too old for one night stands. I looked on craigslist and other sites, but unless you live near Seoul it seems the internet is not very helpful.
The language exchange might be a real possibility though, so thanks for that idea.

donut and coffee loving Canucks vs. thin and lithe Asians.... not such a good risk, it turned out... Evil or Very Mad

With CL the age old mantra of "if it's too good to be true, it usually is" really applies. That and a handful of SPAM and "check my web cam out" messages...
