Anyone know what new basic systems are going for in Yongsan these days? You can get a basic XBOX 360 for $149.99 in America ... just curious how comparable it is.

On Gmarket and Elite with a couple of games is 420K won. An Arcade is 299K won.

Thanks ... I saw that as well. I was just wondering if Yongsan prices were more in-line with "real world" prices. It seems it would be cheaper to buy an XBOX 360 from Toys R' Us and have it shipped here than to purchase in Korea.

Did you account for the exchange rate, the import tax and the shipping ?

I travel back and forth frequently, but even for someone who didn't, Toys-R-Us is selling them for $149.99, plus you can get a $25 gift certificate with each purchase.

I just worry about the RROD. Having your XBOX serviced in America takes ages ... when I got the RROD on my old Korean XBOX, I had a new one in 3 days.

EDIT: Terrible headline, I know. It's the first listing on Google when I searched, "new xbox 360".

The design is kind of ugly, but I still prefer it over the original. The controllers look sleek, too.
