I'm in the process of starting an online grocery store for US products for those living abroad. My idea: US goods for reasonable prices, a low cost alternative to other existing expat stores

What kind of products, prices, would you be willing to pay?

Would appreciate any feedback.

The problem with all the import shops here (online as well) is that they don't seem to import cheap, non-name brand items. Why?

For instance, Quaker Oatmeal has become more expensive in the recent past, but you can still buy the off-brands for around $3.00 for the big size cartons in the States. Where is the generic, off-brand oatmeal?

Same goes for basically every other product. Off-brand cereals, canned goods (SCREW Campbell's), meat, dairy, dried goods, etc., etc., etc.

You'd think Koreans and importers of other nationalities would do a little research and bring over some cheaper items, but the bottom line is they can charge more for name-brand, "luxury" foreign goods. Win!

If you plan on importing foodstuffs into Korea, do everyone a favor and GO CHEAP!!!
