I might have a friend from home coming to visit over my summer vacation and I am trying to figure out how to make a private area for dressing next to or in front of my bathroom. My bathroom is in the corner of my studio. Anyone got any creative ideas?

What's your ceiling made of? Can you mount anything from it? If so, I'd recommend one of those window shades, that way you can just pull it down when you need to.

My ceiling is wallpapered. Hooks are a good idea but I would have to find a really long sheet. Making my own curtain out of fabric would be a good idea, but as I can't sew, it's probably not a feasible option for me.

If you search around the markets you may find one of those fold out dressing screens, they are classy and often well decorated. Sorry I can't tell you where to look specifically.
You could also McGuiver something with metal clothes hangers and a bed sheet or garbage bags. Nail one end to the door frame and the other to the door, assuming they are wooden (on the sides that open, and near the top so they don't get in the way;). The result will be triangle shaped, but it should do the trick. Haven't tried that one myself, but good luck.

If your friend will always be hanging out in your bedroom, then just get dressed in the bathroom.

I think OP mentioned a studio apartment. As for the bathroom, it could be the type where there is no separate shower and the entire place gets wet.

yeah, I bought a great fold out screen at an Emart in Seongsu dong. it's on aluminum poles and has fabric screens which can be removed and washed, they just refasten on again with velcro. kind of look like curtain material, a little bit of lace, so kind of feminine

try some of the home stores, if you want something more masculine, buy a wooden screen. also in Insadong you can find hanging fabric banners (for lack of a better word) am not sure what purpose they are actually for, but very classy looking and would do the trick

If you can find a shop that sells DIY supplies get 3 or 4 of those saloon/louvre doors, screw in some hinges (or if you're really no good with tools, use strong packing tape I suppose) et voila - homemade wooden screen.

I did this once when I lived in a studio in Greece but not sure how viable it is to get similar supplies in Korea. Good luck!
