okay, this is for all the EPIK teachers out there -
so recently i've been thinking about moving to a different apartment that's closer to downtown. the lease on this one that my school pays for is due to expire in august anyway.
does anyone know how i could go about looking to find a new place to live? any websites you know of?
also, if the lease expires on this, and i move instead of choosing to renew, will the school still pay my rent on the next place, or will i only get that 400,000 won monthly payment for rent instead. if i'm stuck with the monthly payment i doubt i could afford to move.
what does an average apartment in busan cost per month anyway? |

This is the only question I can help with, as I'm not an Epik teacher. My best advice for finding a place is head down to a neighborhood you like, and then look for a realtor's office. They're pretty easy to spot, as the whole front of the building will be covered with fliers for apartments. Whether or not you speak any Korean/they speak any English, it should be easy enough to communicate what you're looking for. Just make sure you have a Korean friend with you when it comes time to sign something.
My experience with websites is that they aren't in English, and they are only a means of directing you to a realtor. Oftentimes the apts. you find on them aren't still available and the realtors have no idea which apt you're referring to anyway. |

This. The first house we found was through the local paper but that was a headache. Second time, the real estate agent was much easier although there was a fee.
