				| This is appeal for help/advice from those in the know vis-a-vis editing work.
I've done a lot of freelance editing work in Korea over the years, but those jobs generally involved textbook-type material. I'm now being asked to quote a general rate this coming Monday for an import-export company's brochures, shipping boxes, etc.

Here's the rub: I don't know how to quote a rate for this type of work.

 Any thoughts?

(I can supply further details, but I'll first wait to see if anyone responds.)

				| are you doing designs as well or just English proofreading/correcting?
doesn't sound too complicated - is it just a one-shot deal? "proof this so we can go to production" or is there a possibility for continued work?

if it's a one-shot, no design, maybe 75-100,000 for the whole project, depending on how much time it takes (doesn't sound like a lot)

w/design, depends but not that much more, maybe 2-250,000

if long term is possible, perhaps you want to charge by the hour, 40-50,000 I think would be fair, that's a general editing rate (no design)

				| Thanks Moosehead.
I just wanted to get someone else's opinion. Glad you piped in.

 Cheers,
