|
|
So I got a resign interview soon, and it turns out my score for evaluations is below 70%(long story with my new co-teacher): The score for automatic renewal.
I'd like to still work with SMOE, possibly with a different school, so0 anybody have some advice on what it's like. |

Which district are you working in, and when is the interview? I have my interview this afternoon (Dongjak). My coteachers have told me not to worry too much about it, because they say they've already made it clear that they and school want me to stay, but who knows, wouldn't be the first time I've had Korean co-workers make a bold-faced lie right to my face.
The advice I got; dress nice, accept all the criticism, and promise to follow the advice they give you. Might also be a good idea to make sure your co-teacher tells you why you received a low score and think about what you need to change and be sure to discuss that during your interview. And whatever you do, don't play a blame game; trying to pass the buck is going to make you like an idiot.
I'll let you know how it goes. |

My interview is this afternoon as well. Fortunately I scored above a 70, so I'm not too worried.
From what I understand, you're fine as long as your school likes you, even if you scored under a 70. Just be polite and professional at the interview and take any critique they give you. |

The scores are based on what?
Are they just pulling numbers out of their arse? |

I know just as little now as I did before the interview. They had me fill out a questionaire, asked me a few questions, and thanked me for coming. I'm assuming that means I'll get my extension, but who knows... |

I was told that it's a TOP secret (Korean eyes only). They'll commit suicide if they told you. |
