I finally received my visa today. on it it says issued today and final entry on 6/22/11. I am not flying to Korea until July 10 or 11. Does the final entry date also mean that my visa expires on 6/22/11? How do I know when my visa expires? My contract is from July 12, 2010 - July 11, 2011. |

No the final entry is June of 2011. Once you enter, you'll get a stamp saying that your visa expires a year from whatever date is your first.

Do get a multiple entry visa once you go to immigration to get your ARC card, so that you can vacation outside of Korea, though. |

				| To be more specific, your visa will expire the day prior to the anniversary date of your entry. If you were to enter Korea on 2 July 2010, then the expiration date is 1 July 2011,not 2 July 2011. |

				Clear as mud guys.

The visa can be used for entry (re-entry) from now until 6/22/11. He (should) have multiple entry privileges until that date (confirm that there is an "M" on the line that says entries).

His status of sojourn (allowed period of stay) will be for 1 year starting on his entry date into Korea (subject to any extensions he may get).

				| It should be noted that if your visa gets extended, your final entry date is NOT extended. I made this mistake when I went to Thailand last year. My multi-entry visa had been extended, but the final entry date was not. So I needed a re-entry when I left the country and did not get one. Upon returning, I was informed that my visa was voided and I had to get a new one. |
