I flew with Emirates from Dublin to Seoul, via Heathrow and Dubai in March. The flight cost approx e400, and was by far the most comfortable flight I'v ever been on. The flights from London to Dubai and Dubai to Seoul were on a Airbus A380 which has much larger seats and much more leg space than the smaller long haul planes. The entertainment and food was also excellent. They also give you a bigger weight allowance (30kg). We booked them on Expedia.com (go .com NOT .ie or .co.uk, as its much cheaper on the .com website)

My family flew Emirates when they came to visit and also recommended it. They liked the way they stop in Dubai broke the flight equally - into about two 7 hour journeys I think.

I've flown with British Airways, Cathay Pacific, KLM and Thai. I would say British Airways was the best.

One thing I want to ask though is whether the school or recruiter will refund your whole airfare. If they do then why not fly direct? I'm tired of the journey time and I'm planning on going with Korean Air for this reason. Even if I had to fork out an extra hundred quid personally I think it would be worth it. if the difference is more than that - i'd probably go with Emirates.
