What social networking sites are popular among Koreans?
Facebook
hi5
Tagged
Friendster
Myspace
Is there any chance of meeting up with Korean lasses socially through such sites? |

Most of the Korean girls I know with Facebook met guys at parties, not dating sites. And you are right, they usually only have like 30 friends, 28 of which or foreign guys.
OP, Koreans use Cyworld. Most Koreans I've shown Facebook to, really like it. The problem is none of their friends are on it. If you had a boy band or some Korean pop group go on TV saying how much they love and use Facebook, millions of Koreans would register overnight. |

| Cyworld is Korean-language only, no? I was thinking more of English-language social networking sites! |

| If a K-girl is using facebook, 49 times out of 50, after the first week she'll never log on again. |

OP, considering the vast majority of Koreans do not know English beyond "Nice to meet you and you", I doubt there is a Korean English language social networking.
More and more Koreans are using Twitter however. |

Cyworld America closed in February, but even prior was basically worthless for connecting with Koreans. There are plenty of tutorials out there for signing up for the Korean version, though, so that's an option.
I've "met" (online) a ton of Koreans through twitter, surprisingly, though not everybody's into that.
More Koreans are joining Facebook, but, as was said, not many know much English so you won't have much interaction. However, you'll find Koreans on the different group sites (like the page for Gwangju, or for different interest groups in Seoul, for example), so you could meet Koreans that way. |
