Her father bought his way out of jail and I'm sure her father has some money left over for her defence and bribes.

I highly doubt she is a direct descendant of anyone important at Samsung. Otherwise this would have been kept hush hush. If she were really the 'heiress' she wouldn't need to smuggle that much drugs, it's not like she would be short of money if she were. However, she might be indirectly related. Say a cousin's daughter, or maybe a former girlfriend of someone.

For what it's worth, Samsung has denied she's an heiress.

There's always the possibility that she herself was using that tag in social circles to try and look impressive.

Regardless, all these unqualified, AIDS-infected Koreans are bringing drugs into the Mid-Atlantic region!

If this gets reported in the Korean media, there will be little mention of her Korean ethnicity. And if it is it will be spinned to the tune of saying: look how the west corrupts our pure korean children.

Samsung has released a statement denying that she is a member of the Lee founders of Samsung, though she may well be related, which they did not mention. So far no news about this in the korean media.

yeah i kind of wonder if she's ever even been to korea. just sounds like typical LA trash. "beverly hills actress" indeed.

of course, in america, this is a fairly minor local story. anything like this actually happening in korea would be huge, huge news. that's a lot of drugs.
