France's football team will fly home in disgrace on a second-class flight after their disastrous World Cup ended in defeat against South Africa.
Before a ball had even been kicked in the game, France's players were ordered to pack their bags, ready for the journey home.

A coach was booked to wait outside the stadium to take the players directly to the airport.

Coach = Bus

France will not be allowed to return to their five-star hotel and face the ultimate humiliation of a second-class flight back to Paris today.

The French media reacted quickly to the defeat describing it "une catastrophe".

Quote:
Online newspaper Le Post revealed that the French Football Federation was so sure the team would lose their final match that it chartered the plane to fly them home three days ago.

It wrote: "They arrived travelling first class on a new Airbus A380. But they will be going back on an older Boeing 737, second class and with no special extras.

"The plane was booked three days ago, and will take off right after their match with South Africa should they be eliminated, without stopping off at their hotel."

Ha.

Though I am worried about the 'humiliation of second class'. That's business class isn't it? Business is pretty good unless they're flying on a particularly bad airline. I'd have preferred the humiliation of a bus ticket home or at the very least center seats economy on the plane.

Anyway. 잘가!

Is that's not a great example of Karma, I don't know what is.

France exited in disgrace from the World Cup on Tuesday with no victories and little sympathy for a team that infamously used an intentional handball to get into the tournament and self-destructed on the way out.

Everywhere, Irish eyes must be smiling.

he looked even more ridiculous refusing to shake the hand of the south african coach after the game.

The whole thing has been juvenile, but its symptomatic of a French society that is tearing itself apart anyway. Anelka's abuse of his manager reflects the general hooliganism and anarchy France has been experiencing in recent years. The cause? An ageing population and decades of unbridled immigration with no corresponding assimilation.

However I still think Ribery was one of the best players at this world cup.
