As others did before...a prediction thread for the next match.

Korea vs Nigeria...what say you?

I will go with a 2-1 win for Korea.

I'd like to see 3-1 for Korea, so I'll predict that. I'd like to think they are embarrassed from the thumping the other day and are going to play with a chip on their shoulder. Plus I'm assuming Argentina will take a win, so Korea is in control. They lose and it's a math problem.

2-1 korea but it'll be tight. i think nigeria can still qualify if things go their way so it's not like they'll have given up quite yet.
wheres everyone watching it? is anyone?
i'll gonna be in hongdae but i'm going to a cat cafe and will probably take the subway home. i guess if i'm up it'll be outside my local GS25 with some drunken adjossis....

3-0 Korea (Nigeria lose)

Nigeria has shown again and again that they just don't have the skillful players this year.

Korea has stated that they have had plenty of time to study the Nigerian team/tactics and will not accept a draw, but are going in for a definate big win.

I hope Nigeria wins.

for the record, I hate soccer. And I hate posers that pretend to like soccer.

A win for Nigeria means it all goes away

Korea will bottle it and go down 2-1. African teams are just too physical for them, and better in the air. I expect a lot of long balls and crosses into the box from Nigeria, who'll be looking to use their height advantage.

This was clearly not the case for countries like Cameroon, Senegal, Congo against south korea and japan.

I just think that Nigeria will look to use their advantage, because with the ball on the ground, Korea can compete more. So far, Korea haven't looked great in the air.

Nigeria is physically superior to Korea but has a stamina problem. The Africans also seem to lose it in big games, especially in this World Cup (Greece should NOT have beaten Nigeria).

I'm picking 2-1 Korea.

Does anyone know if there will be public showings, like at the old World Cup stadiums?

I know its a Wednesday morning and there are exams going on (at least here in Daegu). I'm kinda hoping not; my kids didn't sleep at all last night and I'm pretty much a zombie today in desperate need of my eight hours! I live pretty close to the Daegu stadium, so I can hear everything even with the windows shut.

On the game, Korea must draw (assuming Greece loses or draws) to advance. A loss will actually put them out of the tournament, because they would be -2 and Nigeria would be -1 (1-0 win to Nigeria). Go Nigeria! Razz They'll definitely lose, but gotta support Africa in this Cup.
