Hi, I need to get a Korean criminal record check for a job application, I was wondering if anyone has got one before and if so how they went about getting it?

Thanks.

Your local GU police station can do it for you.
You will probably need a Korean to assist you with the language barrier unless you speak Korean.

I have just had to do this myself. I went to the Gu police station and filled out a basic form - Name, address, alien card number, D.O.B etc. Waited about 10mins and then got a piece of paper handed to me. That didnt cost anything.
After that though I did need it translated into English. This required me to fax it to a translation office and me transfer 20,000Won to the guy who then translates and passes it on the the Notary office where I went to pick it up once it had been stamped etc. That cost another 25,000Won. This part only took 24 hours to do.
I did it all up in Suyu (Northern Seoul). If thats near you and you want the phone numbers, address's etc message me and I can pass them on. Hope this helps Smile
