I lost my ARC card and I need a replacement from an immigration office. My coworker found a number for me to an Immigration Office in Lafesta (Ilsan). Does anybody know where it is exactly? I already called them and asked for directions but my Korean isn't good enough to understand it completely. Much thanks for any help. |

I hope that is the same office that issued your ARC. IF it is not then you will have to go to the correct one.
Sorry, but I can't help you with directions for that one. Never been there.

Ana, there is an immigration office on the street to the right of "Meat Street" in La Festa. If you're walking down La Festa (towards "Meat St"), and you pass the main street with all of the taxis, turn right and go down the next next street heading in the same direction you were going. (Sorry I don't know if it's N, S, E, or W). You will walk by a building that says job center; this is it. The immigration office is located on the 5th floor. I don't think they speak a whole lot of English though and I've heard mixed things about their hours, but I was just there today (Tuesday) and they were open until at least 5pm. If you pass a weird looking mushroom/cloud statue, you've gone too far but you're on the right track and the immigration office is located across the street and kitty-corner from there. Hope this helps! |
There's a map here that you could probably print off and show a cabbie...

I made a bit more detailed one for you that I found on http://map.naver.com/

I thought you would've needed the Yangju office...

...but honestly don't know. |

| Thanks guys. I ended up going to the main one near omokgyo station. It was quick and painless. For anybody wondering what you need in this situation: just bring one passport photo, your passport and 10,000 won. They make a new one on the spot.. it only took 10 mins. The main Immigration Office is near Omokgyo station, take exit 7 go straight (road curves right) follow the curve, when you hit the end of the street you will see the immigration office across the street in front of you to your left. When you enter go to the room on the right and tell the nice ladies at the desk in the center of the room your situation. |
