My contract says

" For the first six months, the Employer will collect 100,000KRW per month as deposit for telephone and internet service charge and compensation for all furniture and appliances even though the Employee pays these charges each month. This deposit will be refunded one month after the completion of this contract."

Is this normal? I find it a bit odd that they don't collect the deposit all at once.

Some schools (especially hagwons) do. Technically they should be doing this and you might be wise to pass on the job if they insist.

It's normally over two or three months.
That seems to be like they're making it seem to be less to the employee.
