|

9-month old female kitten (orange and white Asian Shorthair) needs a new home as I am finishing my contract in October. She is fully trained (litter trained, knows her name, comes when called), has all her shots up-to-date (rabies and heartworm), and is spayed.
She is a wonderful cat, but I cannot bring her home with me. I DESPERATELY DO NOT want to give her to an animal shelter, as I have seen what they are like. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who is going to be staying in Korea long term so she can have a good, stable home.
She is a very playful, loving cat who adores people. She is an amazing kitten and I'm very sad to have to let her go. I found her in the street, all alone in the rain, when she was just 2-weeks old. Having raised her, it breaks my heart to say goodbye. What would make this easier is if I knew she was going to a good home.
PLEASE help me out. I am not asking for any money, just a good, stable home and a loving new owner.

I really hope that someone adopts your kitten. I was thinking that maybe this was another one of those 'feel good' stories about a rescue and a need to find a home ASAP. I understand you did the rescuing some time ago.
I was also hoping that you weren't one of the inconsiderate owners that buys/adopts a pet and decides that it is not a good fit, or that you're taking off and need to find a place for the animal.
Many of our teaching jobs are very volatile. I love cats. I would appreciate the company of the little feline. But, I have also realized that I am not going to be here for too long (outta here in Feb), and I don't want to jeopardize the stability of a pet because I want to feel good for the period that I am here.
For those of you (i can think of accusational names and more) that think getting a 'pet' is a good idea, think about the amount of time you will be here and the attachment that the cat/dog/rat/lizard will form. I don't think it is healthy for anyone to passed along every year or two to a new owner. I suppose it's better than being homeless. But, don't you think it is selfish to buy a doggie and then decide that it doesn't work with your schedule or that you need to leave the country. It is possible to think about your proposed time in SK, no?
Good luck man. |
